Kitchen sink cleaning can be a laborious task if you’re looking for advice on how to make your house a cleaner, healthier space, here is a tip to achieve your goals . Most people would assume that their kitchen sink is one of the cleanest spaces they have in their homes. We do dishes there, rinse out rags and are constantly using soap and hot water. In reality, our sinks are actually one of the dirtiest places out of all of our rooms, even having more bacteria than our toilets!

We put bowls, cuts and silverware in our kitchen sinks, so it’s important that we keep it clean and free from germs that could hurt us or make us sink. We can achieve this by disinfecting the area, leading to my cleaning tip of the day: disinfecting your kitchen sink. Start by cleaning out your sink with soap and water first. Make sure kitchen sink cleaning that the water is hot and you really get into those corners and creases, this is where bacteria likes to hide the most due to the fact that it is a ‘harder to reach area’.

By making your own product, you have the ability to know what’s in your cleaner, use less chemicals and even save money! If you would prefer using a product, there are many options to choose from. Make sure that your disinfectant spray is Australian standards approved, meaning that it is safe to use and it will also do it’s job. If you would like to make your own, there are many options for this too! For an easy two-step disinfectant spray, mix a bottle of one part water and one part rubbing alcohol. Spray the disinfectant on the area and leave it to kill the bad bacteria. Using this tip will allow you to have cleaner dishes and may even lead to less illnesses occurring in your home.
